JPMorgan Chase & Co. have announced that its new Pacific Northwest chairman is to be Phyllis Campbell, effective from 1 April.

Over the last six years Campbell has been the president and chief executive officer of The Seattle Foundation, dual positions she will step down from on 31 March.

She brings with her over three decades of experience in the banking sector.

In her new role she will serve on the bank’s Executive Committee and become the most senior executive in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.

Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan Chase’s CEO, has warmly welcomed the appointment, stating that the firm could not have a better person to take up the post.
