Blackstone appoints Brockman as senior MD

Asset manager and financial advisory services firm the Blackstone Group has announced the appointment of Ivan Brockman to the role of senior managing director within the corporate advisory business.

Brockman brings with him 14 years of experience as an investment banker in technology and an attorney who specialises in corporate securities and M&A.

He joins Blackstone from West Coast Technology Investment Banking (part of Citigroup), and was responsible for leadership of Citigroup’s worldwide investment banking operations in enterprise and technology.

Brockman also worked for Goldman Sachs in technology investment banking, and held a position with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, a law firm specialising in technology.

His appointment has been welcomed by John Studzinski, head of the advisory business at Blackstone.
