JPMorgan Chase Bank (China) has opened its fourth branch on the mainland of China, located in the city of Guangzhou.
JPMorgan’s Chinese franchise is over 80 years old, and the expansion into Guangzhou marks a significant step forward as the bank seeks to enjoy the benefits of the rapidly growing region.
Albert He has been named as branch manager and brings to the position 17 years of banking experience, mostly in Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
The new branch is to act as a hub for expansion into the Guangzhou and the Pearl River Delta region, and will enable the bank to provide a large number of wholesale financial services to companies both multinational and local in nature.
Chairman and CEO of J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific Gaby Abdelnour has expressed his confidence that the new branch has strong potential for growth, adding that it underlined the bank’s commitment to mainland China.
