Piper Jaffray appoints US equity sales principal

London-based international middle market investment bank and institutional securities firm Piper Jaffray Ltd. has announced that it is bolstering its Institutional Equity Sales department with the appointment of Nimish Shah.

Shah becomes principal of US equity sales with immediate effect.

He joins Piper Jaffray from Cantor Fitzgerald, where he worked in the US equity sales team, working for FTSE 100 firms such as Shell and Legal & General.

Shah brings almost two decades of experience in equity sales to his new post, and has operated in Asia, the USA and Europe for firms such as Lombard Odier and Credit Suisse.

Chief Executive Officer David Wilson has warmly welcomed Shah to the firm, praising his insight and experience, adding that his appointment underlined the firm’s commitment to growth and investment in all aspects of its business.
