French bank Natixis has hired Elisabeth de Gaulle as chief communications officer, with responsibility for both internal and external communications.

de Gaulle has spent her entire working life in the financial sector, working in banking and insurance and occupying a range of senior posts in the marketing and communications fields.

For the last eight years she has worked for Credit Suisse in Paris as head of Credit Suisse Asset Management.

Earlier in her career she worked for AGF, CCF (HSBC France), Banque de Financement et de Trésorerie, and at BIMP (BNP Paribas).

In her new role de Gaulle also acquires a seat on the Executive Committee and will report directly to the bank’s chief executive officer, Laurent Mignon.
