Deutsche Bank bolsters Global Banking division

Paul Stefanick has been hired by Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. to serve as global head of the Industrials Group and a managing director of the Global Banking division.

He joins the firm from Merrill Lynch where he worked as an MD and chairman of Global Mergers & Acquisitions since 2005.

Stefanick first joined Merrill Lynch in 1988, working within the M&A division, and will continue to work through his notice period to leave the firm in January next year when he will join Deutsche Bank.

In addition, Stefanick, who is to be based in New York, will assume seats on the Global Banking Executive Committee and the Global Banking Americas Executive Committee.

He will be directly responsible to co-head of Global Industry Coverage Jacques Brand.

Brand has welcomed his appointment, describing Stefanick as a strong leader and trusted advisor.
