Yesterday Merrill Lynch announced the appointment of John R. Tyers to the post of Broadcort’s president.

In his new position Tyers will report directly to Michael Perry, Managing Director and leader of Corporate and Investment Services.

Broadcort offers broker-dealers clearing services, and independent advisors wealth management solutions.

In addition, it plays a crucial part in the growth strategy of the Global Wealth Management.

Senior Vice President Dan Sontag has welcomed Tyers’ appointment, describing the move as a sign of the firm’s commitment to achieving success.
