Eurohypo, a subsidiary of Commerzbank, has appointed Jochen Klösges to be its new Supervisory Board chairman.

Klösges is a member of Commerzbank’s board of Managing Directors with responsibility for the Real Estate and Public Finance segment.

As a former head of risk management he is well-acquainted with Eurohypo, having worked for the bank from 2004 to 2007, when he moved to Commerzbank.

He succeeds Dr. Stefan Schmittmann, who retains his seat on the board and takes on the post of head of the risk committee.

Dr. Schmittmann joined the Supervisory Board as chairman in the latter half of last year, taking over from his predecessor Klaus-Peter Müller.
