Rodman & Renshaw Capital Group has bolstered its Energy Research team with the addition of new appointment Jason Strominger.

He leaves behind Credit Suisse, where he served as a senior associate, to join the firm.

Earlier in his career he worked as an equity research associate with Bear Stearns & Co.

Strominger, who is to be based in New York, assumes the role of vice president and senior oil & gas analyst, with his primary focus being on oilfield service and E&P.

Michael Lacovara, chief executive officer, has welcomed his appointment, explaining that the sector is one which requires more breadth and leadership as it continues to grow.
