Jefferies Group’s subsidiary Jefferies & Company has announced a quartet of appointments to its emerging markets fixed income sales and trading unit.
In New York, the sales team is enlarged with the arrivals of Leo Gazal, Mike Bellero and Ken Lockyer, and in London John Gibbens is appointed as a senior trader.
Gazal joins Jefferies from investment bank Goldman Sachs, and brings with him a decade and a half of bond sales experience.
Lockyer and Bellero together have over four decades of experience in emerging market bond sales, and were most recently senior VPs with Bear Stearns.
Gibbens leaves behind ABN AMRO, where he served as a senior trader and MD.
Tim Cronin, Fixed Income Division head, has stated that the experience and knowledge of the four veterans will help strengthen the firm’s emerging markets capabilities.
