Schroders Private Banking enjoyed a good night at the 2009 Private Asset Management (PAM) Awards, scooping two of the 11 awards.

The PAM awards exist to celebrate the very best in UK private asset management, and in 2009 a record 42 companies were entered.

The firm, which is based in London and the Channel Islands, won the awards for High Net Worth (HNW) Image and Reputation and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) Overall Client Service Quality.

In addition, Schroders was the only bank to win more than a single award on the night.

Other winners included Ermitage Global Wealth Management Jersey for Investment Performance: Absolute Return, and Smith & Williamson for Investment Performance: Income.

Image & Reputation – UHNW was won by JPMorgan Private Bank.

Julian Winser, chief executive officer of the Channel Islands, explained that providing clients with the best possible communications, advice and general service was of critical important, particularly given the uncomfortable economic situation.

Over the last decade the firm has expanded its range of services, a move which has paid dividends as it won the HNW Image and Reputation award.

Last year Schroders was twice nominated as UK Private Bank of the Year at the Spear’s Wealth Management Awards.
