Yorkshire Building Society has installed new customer communications software.
The Docuflex system, which has been supplied by Skywire Software, will enable the building society to standardise its document production and use current and developing electronic channels for delivery to customers.
It has the capacity to automate the design, production, management, delivery and archival of all essential customer communications, from a central repository.
Yorkshire selected Docuflex because of its ability to support the complexity and volume of documents it generates and cut costs through standardisation.
Using Docuflex, employees can make changes to letters and other documents via a series of rules applied to templates that control many aspects of a document, from content and branding, through to personalised services and delivery.
The method reduces the amount of manual intervention and results in correspondence being issued quickly and with high levels of accuracy.
Sean Caine, strategy and enterprise architecture manager at Yorkshire Building Society, points out that regulation in the financial services sector has created the need to constantly improve customer communication.
Yorkshire is the UK’s third-largest building society. Its network of 134 branches is supported by a countrywide string of agencies.
