Independent investment bank Collins Stewart has announced the appointment of Paul Leyland as a leisure and gaming analyst.

He leaves behind Arbuthnot Securities where he covered the leisure sector generally and gambling stocks in particular, to join Collins Stewart.

During his career, he has also worked for WestLB and Seymour Pierce analysing leisure and gambling respectively.

Leyland brings with him eight years of experience as an equity analyst specialising in the leisure sector.

He will join the Transport and Leisure research team, led by Andrew Fitchie.

Leyland’s appointment is the latest in a series that have seen the firm bolster its specialist research team, with similar appointments in the oil and gas and real estate sectors.
