Financial services firm Merriman Curhan Ford has announced the twin appointments of John W. Chambers and Michael A. Margolis, R.Ph.
Both men will be based at the firm’s officer in New York to serve as managing directors within its healthcare investment banking practice.
Chambers will take on duties not just as a healthcare MD, but also as a member of the commitment and management committees.
He joins Merriman from Rodman & Renshaw, where he served as co-head of investment banking.
Earlier in his career he has held a range of positions in biotech and healthcare with investment banks UBS, Lehman Brothers and Salomon Smith Barney.
Margolis leaves his position as senior vice president of healthcare investment banking with Rodman & Renshaw to join the firm.
He brings with him in-depth experience of investment banking, as well as pharmaceutical experience.
Merriman’s CEO, Jon Merriman, has welcomed the appointments, praising Margolis and Chamber as men with excellent experience and industry contacts.
