Investment bank Houlihan Lokey has enjoyed success at the first M&A Awards Americas, (sponsored by the Financial Times and Mergermarket), winning the Mid Market Financial Advisor of the Year – United States award.

The award winners were announced at a Gala Dinner in New York at the end of October.

In winning the prize, Houlihan Lokey beat off competition from rival nominees Credit Suisse, Jefferies & Company, JPMorgan and UBS.

Scott Adelson, senior MD and investment banking co-head at the firm, described the recognition achieved by Houlihan Lokey by a pair of European organisations as evidence of its global presence.
