Contact centre consultancy services firm Sabio has released an innovative, safe, credit card payment solution.

The solution has been designed specifically to remove the potential danger of fraud occurring when customers make credit card payments when calling a call centre.

Call centre operators will be particularly pleased that the new solution not only accords with FSA regulations, but is also fully compatible with Payment Card Industry (PCI) credit card security standards and the PCI payment card.

Customers will be diverted to a secure, speech-enabled credit card payments line, thus isolating the crucial time when transactions occur.

This will boost security, and make customers feel more at ease as they will no longer be required to divulge their PINs, CVV2s or card account details.

Sabio’s Voice Self-Service practice brings together self-service and call recording technologies in an integrated approach.

When a customer is ready to pay, they are transferred from the call centre to the secure PCI-compliant payment function.

Sensitive credit card data is not kept on the system, as call recording ceases at the relevant time.

Payments is made using either DTMF-enabled or speech-based IVR system, after which the customer returns to the call centre.
