For the fourth consecutive year Lloyds TSB has been given the award of Bank of the Year.
The award is given by British finance directors to the bank that is seen to give excellent service to both commercial and corporate customers.
On Tuesday the award was presented by CBI director-general Richard Lambert to Diana Brightmore-Armour and John Maltby, CEO of corporate banking and MD of LLoyds TSB commercial respectively.
A survey completed by hundreds of finance directors based throughout the United Kingdom registered satisfaction levels with firms that provided support to businesses.
Banks were naturally included, as were auditors, advisors and government departments, with judgement being passed according to the actual experience of the finance directors.
The banking category award was based upon the level of service offered, in addition to the knowledge the relationship manager had of the business.
In seizing victory for the fourth year in a row Lloyds saw off fellow shortlist rivals RBS, Barclays and HSBC.
