Russian investment bank Troika Dialog and its 35-strong research analyst team has been named as Russia’s leading brokerage by Thomson Reuters Extel Focus Russia Survey 2009.

Last year the firm hit second spot in the survey, and this year four of the Top Ten analysts belong to the bank.

Mikhail Stiskin, chemicals specialist, is the number one analyst with gas specialist Oleg Maximov occupying third place.

A total of seven analysts were top of their respective fields, with the bank also enjoying top slot for Trading & Execution and Equity Sales.

Paolo Zaniboni, head of Research and recently promoted to head up the firm’s operations in London, has expressed the bank’s tremendous pride in its research team.

Zaniboni went on to say it was extremely gratifying to have achieved such recognition from an independent and highly-regarded survey.
