Wachovia has announced the appointment of Sridhar Chityala as head of the firm’s eCommerce division.
Prior to joining the firm he served with Citi Cards as leader of the Telecommunications Business Unit.
Earlier in his career he served as executive vice president of eBusiness with JPMorgan Chase, and has accumulated decades of industry experience during his long career.
Chityala will be tasked with responsibility for the strategy and implementation of Wachovia’s internet, intranet and mobile channels, and the complete online customer experience.
In his new role he will report directly to marketing chief Ranjana Clark, who has praised Chityala’s deep expertise of financial services and broad strategic perspective.
His duties will also include close collaboration with the firm’s business units to create eCommerce strategies to bolster performance and help them to achieve their targets.
