Deutsche Bank AG has been informed by Prof. Dr. Heinrich von Pierer that he is no longer available to be re-elected to the firm’s Supervisory Board.
The election takes place at the bank’s AGM, which is being held this year on 29 May.
The Supervisory Board has thanked Prof. Dr. Heinrich von Pierer for his years of work on the committees of the Board, as well as the Board itself.
Chairman Dr. Clemens Börsig has paid tribute to Prof. Dr. Heinrich von Pierer, thanking him for the service and support he has given to the bank over the years.
Because of this, the Supervisory Board will suggest at the bank’s Annual General Meeting that Dr. Johannes Teyssen be elected to take the place previously held by Prof. Dr. von Pierer.
Currently serving as deputy chairman of the management Board, Dr. Johannes Teyssen is also the chief operating officer of E.ON AG and has experience of both the energy industry and corporate governance.
