Fronde Anywhere, which provides mobile products for the financial services and corporate sectors, has reported significant uptake of its mobile two-factor authentication platform, TwoSecure.

The product was launched in April of last year and has since been installed by a French bank and a German financial institution.

In the UK, it has been implemented by financial data firm, m35.

TwoSecure generates one time passwords using a Java application stored on a mobile phone and Fronde is promoting the product as more user-friendly and cost-effective than others in the market.

It provides employees with a second level of authentication when they remotely access business networks and can be configured to support incremental levels of security.

In addition, TwoSecure protects Internet banking transactions and logins by eliminating the risk of third parties assuming the user’s identity.

The solution is available through Fronde’s global partners, Logica and CSC, plus regional partner RSSS, in South Africa.
