Evergreen Investments, the investment management brand of Wachovia Corporation, has announced a range of appointments in its municipal bond group.
Mathew Kiselak, portfolio manager, is to take on responsibility for leading Evergreen’s municipal bond group.
He brings more than 20 years of experience to his new job, and has been with Evergreen or its predecessors for the last eight years.
In his new role, Kiselak becomes lead portfolio manager for all internally managed municipal money market and municipal bond mutual funds.
He also becomes responsible for strategic supervision of research, security selection and trading for the funds.
Municipal bond team members Dennis Derby, Ladson Hart, Charles Jeanne and James Randazzo are all named as co-managers on products across the platform.
The firm’s proprietary credit research teams will continue to support the municipal bond team.
Executive managing director of Portfolio Solutions, Karen Watson, explains that the firm’s team-based approach is aimed at delivering leading tax-advantaged solutions for its clientele.
