International financial services firm Baird has announced it is to open its first office dedicated to wealth management in California.

In addition, the firm has bolstered its capabilities with an extra four financial advisers, three of which (Carlos Alcaine, Joseph Hoon and Seth Kaplan) are senior VPs, and Stephen Halterbeck.

Halterbeck and Alcaine (Alcaine Group members) are joined by Cheryl Moore and have a pooled experience of more than two decades.

Hoon, formerly of Banc of America, has spent 14 years in the industry and Kaplan, who joins Baird from Wachovia, brings 11 years of experience with him.

Branch manager Andy Fass has welcomed the multiple appointments to the new branch, praising their wealth of experience and describing them as invaluable assets to the firm.

The Roseville wealth management office joins the Palo Alto-based investment banking office and San Francisco-based office Baird is already established in the state of California.
