Ghana Commercial Bank Limited is to form a partnership with Ghana Interbank Payment and Settlement Systems Limited (GhIPPS) in order to create outreach programmes and mobile registration of merchants so that e-zwich’s coverage and marketing becomes nation wide.

The aim of the partnership is to promote large scale public engagement with the exercise, and to educate merchants.

GhIPPS’ general manager of business and project development, Archie Hesse, made the announcement at the Ghana Commercial Bank’s Liberty House branch in Accra, during e-zwich’s pilot launch.

E-zwich’s initial roll-out will take place at two of the bank’s branches, both of which are in Accra.
