Global investment bank Nomura has announced the appointment of Jai Rajpa as head of Fixed Income for Asia ex-Japan.
Rajpa has almost two decades of experience of fixed income in Asia, and three years ago joined Lehman brothers from Deutsche Bank.
At Lehman Brothers he was responsible for the fixed income franchise in south east Asia, as well building up the foreign exchange and commodities businesses.
Two years ago he joined Nomura as joint head of Fixed Income, Asia ex-Japan, working alongside Thomas Siegmund who has since left the firm.
In his new job he will relocate from Singapore to Hong Kong.
Tarun Jotwani, head of Global Fixed Income, praised Rajpa for his leadership in assembling the firm’s present team and for fostering the local markets businesses, thereby helping to create a profitable full-scale fixed income operation.
