Canadian Western Bank (CWB) has announced the appointment of Chris Fowler as the firm’s new president and chief operating officer.
Larry Pollock, the firm’s long-serving CEO and president, will retain the role of chief executive officer until he steps down in March of next year.
Chairman of the Board of Directors Allan Jackson said that Fowler had contributed greatly to the firm during his 21 years with CWB and said that his wide range of experience made him the right choice for the position.
Fowler began his career in 1985 at Continental Bank of Canada, before joining CWB six years later.
Fowler stated that he was honoured to have been named president and chief operating officer and said that his goal was to ensure the firm continued to enjoy a stellar financial performance.
