Jefferies hires investment banker Greenip

Investment bank Jefferies has announced the appointment of Jeffrey D. Greenip to the post of managing director within the Financial Sponsors Group.

He most recently worked for Bear Stearns, where he served for more than a decade, and brings with him 12 years of investment banking experience.

Before joining Bear Stearns, he worked for ING Barings Furman Selz.

In his new role, which falls under the umbrella of the Investment Banking Division, Greenip will be responsible for working with private equity and other financial sponsor clients.

Jefferies’ co-head of Investment Banking, Chris M. Kanoff, has welcomed Greenip’s appointment, stating that it underlines the firm’s commitment to the sector.

His appointment has also been welcomed by Financial Sponsors Group leader Adam D. Sokoloff, who has praised the longstanding relationships and experience that Greenip has accumulated during the course of his career.
