Dubai Islamic Bank names new CEO

Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) has announced the appointment of Abdulla Al Hamli as the firm’s new CEO.

Al Hamli brings to the role nine years of experience with the bank, and has previously served as Chief of Operations and Information Technology with DIB.

He has occupied a number of senior positions in both the public and private sector within Dubai, including a decade and a half as Director of Information Systems at the Dubai Ports Authority and Jebel Ali Free Zone.

Presently Al Hamli is a member of the Board of Directors of Deyaar Development.

His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Chairman of Dubai Islamic Bank, has heartily welcomed Al Hamli’s appointment, stating he believes Al Hamli will make a significant contribution to consolidating the firm’s position of leadership on both the regional and international stages.
