Piper Jaffray & Co has announced the appointment of Tina Neal as senior vice president, investment banker.

Neal leaves behind Ferris, Baker Watts to join Piper Jaffray, bringing with her 17 years of industry experience.

Earlier in her career she held the position of managing director for fixed income sales and trading with Carter Kaplan & Company.

She will be based in the recently formed Richmond office, and will be tasked with bolstering the firm’s public finance banking presence on the East Coast.

Piper Jaffray’s public finances services chief, Frank Fairman, has explained that Neal was hired for her broad range of project financing experience which will prove of benefit to many of the firm’s clientele.
