Crédit Agricole S.A.’s chairman and CEO, René Carron and Georges Pauget, are to propose that Jean-Yves Hocher and Bernard Mary be appointed as joint deputy CEOs.
The recommendation is to be made at the bank’s next board of directors meeting on 1 October and, should it be enacted, Hocher and Mary will join Jacques Lenormand and Jean-Frédéric de Leusse as deputy CEOs.
Presently Hocher serves as head of Specialised Financial Services, and Mary is chief executive officer of Crédit Agricole du Nord Est.
The appointments, should they occur, will happen alongside a management restructuring at the firm which will centre upon a quartet of business areas.
These include developing Regional Banks, Insurance and Means of Payment, to be spearheaded by Hocher and Retail banking activities, comprising LCL in France and BDI (international retail banking) outside France which will be led by Mary.
The other areas are Specialised business lines, headed up by de Leusse, and Lenormand’s financing and strategy.
