Credit Suisse Group has announced that its chief information officer, Karl Landert, has been appointed to the Executive Board with immediate effect.
Landert, who is responsible for the investment bank’s Information Technology (IT) division, will continue to report directly to Credit Suisse’s chief executive officer, Brady W. Dougan.
Dougan has stated that Landert’s new seat on the Executive Board reflects both the importance of the IT division to the bank’s success, as well as Landert’s own personal record of strong performance in his role as the division’s leader.
Landert has been with the firm for almost a decade, and has recently both streamlined and enhanced the reliability of its IT.
He has been chief information officer since March of last year, and prior to joining the firm held senior IT positions with Novartis Pharma AG and IBM.
