Nomura Holdings, Inc. has announced that David Bizer has been hired to serve as head of Global Markets Sales for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region, and gains a seat on the regional Executive Committee.

Before taking up his new role, Bizer worked for Lehman Brothers as Fixed Income Sales head for the EMEA region.

Prior to that post he held a number of other positions with the investment bank, including managing the Equity Sales organisations in both the EMEA and Americas.

In his new post Bizer will be responsible for distributing products in the Fixed Income and Equity ranges to clients within the EMEA region.

Sadeq Sayeed, Acquired Businesses chief executive for the EMEA, has welcomed the appointment, stating Bizer will be invaluable in driving forward the firm’s operations in the region.
