Deutsche Bank has made a pair of senior appointments in its businesses in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Salman Al-Khalifa has been named as the head of Global Markets MENA, and Hussein Hassan assumes the roles of head of Structuring MENA and head of Islamic Finance.

Salman Al-Khalifa was formerly Deutsche Bank’s head of Global Market Sales (MENA), prior to which he held posts with Investcorp in Bahrain and UBS in London.

In his new post Al-Khalifa reports directly to Yassine Bouhara, Global Head of Structuring and Head of Global Markets for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Hussein Hassan leaves behind his previous post of head of Islamic Structuring with Deutsche Bank and will report on a regional basis to Al-Khalifa, and to Emerging Markets Structuring head Daniel Morley in London.
