The Blackstone Group has announced the appointment of Jean-Manuel Richier to its Paris office in the capacity of senior managing director.

He brings with him 18 years of investment banking experience within France, beginning his career in 1990 with JP Morgan.

Recently he served as Investment Banking deputy head and managing director for Citigroup’s French operations and has also worked for Goldman Sachs as a managing director.

Richier will collaborate closely with Jean-Michel Steg to expand and enhance the French and European presence of Blackstone Advisory.

Blackstone’s Corporate Advisory Group global leader, John Studzinski has described Richier’s appointment as a further important step in the firm’s development and underlines its commitment to the global advisory market.

Richier himself has praised Blackstone’s first-rate team of professionals and unique place in the industry, and expressed his delight at the joining the firm.
