Collins Stewart hires oil and gas research leader

Independent investment bank Collins Stewart has announced the appointment of Gordon Gray as leader of the firm’s research in the fields of Oil & Gas.

Gray brings extensive experience with him, having spent more than a decade and a half working in the sector.

He joins Collins Stewart from US bank JPMorgan, and is to be tasked with the formation of a research team dedicated to developing coverage of the sector that takes in exploration and production, integrated oil majors and oil services.

Whilst with JPMorgan Gray was leader of the bank’s oil and gas research on the global stage, and before that he spent eight years with Salomon Inc/Citigroup as an oil and gas analyst.

During his career he has also spent time in the precious metals sector and as a mining engineer.
