Morgan Stanley has hired a quartet of senior investment professionals to enhance its private wealth management provision.

The team will cater to the needs of high net worth clients in the Latin American market and is to be based in New York.

Ruben Lerner and Manuel Uranga, both executive directors and investment representatives, will cover Venezuela, supported by sales assistants Dolores Alcaide-Mendez and Jennifer Ramos.

They leave behind Smith Barney to join Morgan Stanley, and will report directly to the executive director and sales manager of the New York Latin America/International, Fabian Onetti.

Onetti has praised the quartet’s extensive experience of the Venezuelan market, adding that the appointments underline the firm’s commitment to expansion in Latin America.
