Metro Bank selects VocaLink for its payment needs

International specialist payments partner VocaLink is to provide new high street bank Metro Bank with a comprehensive solution for all its payment needs.

Metro Bank’s ATM estate, domestic and international payments and debit card processing needs will be handled by VocaLink under the agreement between the two firms.

The VocaLink Service Bureau will provide the bank with access to a range of connectivity services, including SWIFT, and the the fastest Straight-Through-Processing rates.

Metro Bank will be able to cut costs and increase revenues by utilising VocaLInk’s ATM Managed Service.

Metro Bank CEO Craig Donaldson has said that it is reassuring for the new bank to be able to rely upon VocaLink to handle the firm’s payment needs.

VocaLink’s Card Services MD, David Conkleton, has expressed the firm’s delight to be collaborating with banking newcomer Metro Bank and stated VocaLink’s confidence in its ability to provide the bank with a first class service.

Metro Bank is the first new full service high street bank to enter the UK market in more than a century, and yesterday opened its first branch in Central London (Holborn).
